Experience the beauty of nature at its finest at Back Bay Campground and Cottages. Our campground offers a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, surrounded by the natural beauty of Black Lake. Whether you're staying in one of our cozy cottages, parking your RV, or pitching a tent, there's something here for every type of camper. Wake up to the sounds of birds and fresh lake air, then spend your days fishing, enjoying the water, or relaxing by the campfire. Our friendly staff is always here to help you make the most of your stay.

Back Bay Campground and Cottages is a family-owned and operated campground, with our entire family pitching in - including our dog, Milo, who proudly serves as the official campground inspector.
Our journey in hospitality began in 2015 with long-term rentals, evolved into short-term rentals in 2022, and culminated in 2025 when we purchased Back Bay Campground. We've always loved the 1000 Islands area and working in the hospitality industry, owning the campground felt like the perfect way to combine those passions while giving back to the local community. We enjoy being outdoors, working together as a family, and creating spaces where people feel comfortable and welcome. As we move forward, we are excited to continue the campground's legacy while preserving the charm that longtime guests love. We are grateful to be part of this community and look forward to welcoming you to Back Bay Campground and Cottages.

We believe campgrounds are more than places to stay, they're places to connect. Throughout the season, we host a variety of special events and family-friendly fun.
